ProQual Level 5 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice (RQF)

The ProQual Level 5 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice is a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for practitioners who have already achieved Level 4 and are ready to advance their skills. This diploma develops your knowledge, confidence, and professional competence to safely deliver advanced aesthetic procedures in line with the highest industry standards.

It bridges advanced anatomy and professional practice with hands-on training in treatments such as microneedling and chemical peels, ensuring you are prepared for higher-level clinical aesthetics.

What You'll Learn:

You’ll complete five mandatory units:

  • Infection Control and Prevention for Cosmetic, Aesthetic and Needle-Related Treatments

  • Professional Practice for Aesthetic Practitioners

  • Anatomy and Physiology for Advanced Aesthetic Practice

  • Principles and Practice of Microneedling Treatments

  • Principles and Practice of Chemical Peel Treatments

Course Delivery:

  • Blended learning: online theory taught via live Zoom classes + in-clinic practical training.

  • Practical training: live model sessions in microneedling and chemical peel procedures.

  • Tutor support: ongoing guidance and feedback to build competence.

  • Duration: approx. 9–12 months (320 GLH, 435 TQT).

Assessment:

  • Assessment is portfolio-based and includes:

  • Written assignments and projects

  • Case studies and reflective practice

  • Tutor observations of treatments

  • Professional discussions

  • Knowledge questions

  • Photographic/video evidence of treatments

Entry Requirements:

  • Must be aged 18 or above

  • Provide 2 forms of ID (photo ID + proof of address)

  • Completion of ProQual Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice (or equivalent) required

  • Valid First Aid qualification (Level 3 First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, or equivalent)
