ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice (RQF)

The ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice is a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for experienced practitioners ready to advance into complex, higher-level aesthetic procedures.

This diploma builds on the knowledge gained at Level 5 and introduces advanced clinical techniques such as mesotherapy, skin booster injections, fat reduction, and micropigmentation. It provides the academic depth and practical competence needed to work safely, ethically, and confidently at an advanced level in aesthetic practice.

What You'll Learn:

You’ll complete three mandatory units and at least three optional specialist units.

 

Mandatory Units:

  • Infection Control and Prevention for Cosmetic, Aesthetic and Needle-Related Treatments

  • Professional Practice for Aesthetic Practitioners

  • Anatomy and Physiology for Advanced Aesthetic Practice

 

Optional Units (Urban Angel offers a selection of the following):

  • Microneedling Treatments

  • Chemical Peel Treatments

  • Micro-Needle Mesotherapy

  • No-Needle Mesotherapy

  • Subcutaneous Skin Booster Injections

  • Non-Surgical Fat Reduction

Course Delivery:

  • Blended learning: theory delivered via live online sessions and self-study materials, plus in-clinic practical assessments.

  • Practical training: live model sessions in advanced procedures.

  • Tutor support: personalised one-to-one feedback and ongoing guidance.

  • Duration: typically 9–12 months (400 GLH, 535 TQT).

Assessment:

  • Assessment is portfolio-based and includes:

  • Written assignments and projects

  • Case studies and reflective practice

  • Tutor observations of practical treatments

  • Professional discussions

  • Knowledge-based assessments

  • Photographic and/or video evidence

All work is internally assessed, IQA verified, and externally quality assured by ProQual.

Entry Requirements:

  • Must be aged 18 or above

  • Hold a regulated Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice or equivalent qualification

  • OR have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in aesthetics (with evidence of occupational competence)

  • Hold a current Level 3 First Aid qualification (First Aid at Work or equivalent)

  • Provide 2 forms of ID (photo + proof of address)
