YOUR QUESTIONS

ProQual aesthetics qualifications—explained simply.

Where can I study ProQual aesthetics qualifications in Derby?

Urban Angel Aesthetics Academy delivers ProQual aesthetics qualifications from its academy at 16 Brighton Road, Alvaston, Derby. The programme combines guided study, tutor support and practical training or assessment where the qualification requires it.

Are ProQual aesthetics qualifications regulated?

The qualifications shown on this page are awarded by ProQual and regulated by Ofqual. They are different from a short CPD certificate. Each qualification has set learning outcomes, assessment requirements and quality-assurance stages.

Which ProQual level should a beginner start with?

Someone new to aesthetics would normally begin with the Level 3 Diploma in Pathway to Aesthetic Practice. We check your starting point before enrolment because previous regulated qualifications and experience can affect the correct route.

Can an experienced practitioner start at Level 6?

Some experienced practitioners may be considered through an alternative Level 6 entry route when they have enough relevant, verifiable industry experience. Urban Angel checks qualifications, experience and supporting evidence before confirming eligibility.

Can I enrol directly onto Level 7?

Level 7 has advanced entry requirements. We check your existing qualifications, experience and current specification before registration. Contact us before paying so we can confirm whether your evidence meets the entry route.

What is the difference between ProQual and CPD training?

A ProQual qualification is assessed against a regulated specification and includes formal quality assurance. CPD training focuses on professional development or a particular practical skill and is not the same as an Ofqual-regulated qualification.

How are the qualifications delivered?

Delivery is blended. Depending on the level, it can include online theory, tutor guidance, written portfolio work, practical teaching, observed assessment and professional discussion. Your learning plan explains exactly what your chosen qualification requires.

How long does a ProQual aesthetics qualification take?

Timescales depend on the level, your starting point, attendance, portfolio progress and practical evidence. The individual course pages explain the usual study period, but completion is based on meeting every assessment requirement rather than simply attending for a set number of days.
